ABOUT ME

Jessica Nirvana Ram is an Indo-Guyanese poet and essayist. She is the author of the debut poetry collection Earthly Gods (Variant Literature 2024) and the chapbook in the aftermath (Fifth Wheel Press 2025). Jessica earned her MFA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and her BA from Susquehanna University. Her work grapples with inheritance, expectations, radical self-love, among other things. She was a 2022-23 Stadler Fellow in Literary Arts Administration and now works as the Publicity and Outreach Manager for the Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts. Jessica's work has won the 2020 AWP Intro Journals Project and the Prairie Schooner Jane Geske Award. Her work has also been nominated for the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. Jessica now lives and writes in Lewisburg, PA. â€‹
